Are you a licensed contractor?

Yes. My R.O.C. license # is 134932 for residential repairs and 215566 for commercial work. You can look at the A.Z.R.O.C. by clicking here to check my status. You will have to enter my license # and it will give you all my information. As you will find there are no complaints in the entire time I have been registered.

Why do I need a licensed contactor?

* Licensed contactors are required to be bonded

* Licensed contractors are responsible for injuries to their employees. If you use an unlicensed contactor, you may be held responsible.

* Complaints may be filed against a licensed contractor for up to two years from the date of occupancy or discovery of defect, whichever comes first, or from the date the work was last performed. The Registrar of Contractors can revoke or discipline licensed contractors if they fail to perform corrective work.

* Customers of residential licensed contactors may have access to the Residential Contractors Recovery Fund and may be eligible for recovery of up to $30,000 for poor work performed by a residential contractor who refuses or is unable to correct faulty work.

This means that you can trust a licensed contractor to do a good job and if they don't, you have some form of recourse. With a basic unlicensed handyman you have no way to protect yourself.

How long before you can start?

This depends on the work and the area. Usually we are able to start within a week or so. Emergency service is always available.

What about pricing?

In most cases we like to come out and see what we will be doing and give an estimate. We can give a basic ballpark range over the phone or internet, but most repairs have their own circumstances unique to them. It is easier to account for these and quote you a proper price when we have been out to look at the item or items in question.
